Core principle
Use ReverseIPData only for activity you are legally permitted to perform. Discovery is information, not authorization. A returned domain remains subject to its owner’s rights, applicable law, provider policies, and the scope of any engagement.
Permitted examples
- Defensive review of assets you own or are authorized to assess.
- Lawful infrastructure and hosting research.
- Abuse investigation and incident response within authority.
- Authorized security testing and scope preparation.
- Academic or journalistic work conducted lawfully and responsibly.
- Data-quality evaluation, infrastructure measurement, and service comparison that respects operational limits.
Prohibited activity
- Unauthorized access, exploitation, destructive scanning, or interference.
- Credential attacks, phishing, malware delivery, botnet activity, or extortion.
- Spam, harassment, stalking, doxxing, or harmful profiling.
- Evading rate limits, access controls, plan limits, payment controls, or service protections.
- Account sharing, credential resale, unauthorized redistribution, or automated scraping beyond licensed access.
- Using associations as unsupported claims of ownership, wrongdoing, affiliation, or risk.
- Activity that violates privacy, intellectual-property, export, sanctions, computer-misuse, or other applicable law.
- Attempts to obtain, expose, or misuse service credentials, customer data, private keys, certificates, or protected infrastructure.
Automation and service protection
Individual plans do not include API access or permission to bypass the licensed interface. Requests may be limited to protect availability, security, and fair use. Do not run concurrent jobs beyond the plan, distribute workloads across accounts to evade controls, or reproduce the dataset through abusive automation.
Reporting concerns
Use official support to report suspected abuse or a security concern. Provide a concise description, relevant public identifiers, and timestamps. Do not send harmful payloads, account passwords, private keys, seed phrases, or unrelated personal data.
Enforcement
ReverseIPData may investigate, rate limit, preserve relevant records, suspend, terminate, or report activity when reasonably necessary to address security, legal, operational, or abuse risk. Action can occur without advance notice when delay would increase harm or undermine an investigation.
Questions or review
If you believe an enforcement action was mistaken, contact official support with the account identity, relevant order ID, and a factual explanation. Do not create new accounts to bypass a restriction while review is pending.
